Firmware Updates Now Available for Fly12 Sport & Fly6 Pro
We’re rolling out new firmware updates for the Fly12 Sport and Fly6 Pro, bringing improved CycliqPlus integration, faster device startup, enhanced video metadata, and a range of feature updates designed to improve your ride experience.
Before You Update
There are two types of firmware updates included in this release:
- BLE (Bluetooth) firmware
- DSP firmware
Important Update Requirements
- BLE updates must be performed using the CycliqPlus mobile app
- Fly6 Pro DSP updates can also be performed using the CycliqPlus mobile app
- Fly12 Sport DSP updates must be performed using the CycliqPlus desktop app
You can complete the updates in any order — BLE first or DSP first — whichever suits you best.
What’s New
Fly12 Sport & Fly6 Pro
Improved CycliqPlus Edge Integration
We’ve added new Bluetooth commands and notifications to better support CycliqPlus Edge, our Garmin Connect IQ data field.
This improves communication between your device and Garmin head unit, including support for:
- Battery level reporting
- Light mode status updates
- Improved device syncing behaviour
Faster Device Startup
Your device will now power on with a short press of the power button, helping reduce startup time and get you rolling faster.
Enhanced Video Metadata
We’ve added extra metadata to recorded video files to improve compatibility and integration with Cycliq software and future platform enhancements.
Fly12 Sport Updates
To better align Fly12 Sport with the Fly6 Pro experience, we’ve added:
OLED Timeout
You can now configure the OLED display timeout to help conserve battery life and reduce screen distraction while riding.
Configurable Audio Recording
Audio recording can now be enabled or disabled directly within the app, giving you more control over your recording preferences.
Fly6 Pro Updates
WiFi Livestream Timestamp
WiFi livestreams now include a timestamp overlay to improve video reference and live viewing usability.
Improved WiFi Pairing Notifications
Additional Bluetooth notifications have been added to better facilitate WiFi pairing and improve connection reliability within CycliqPlus.
macOS File Metadata Fix
We’ve fixed an issue where macOS could modify file metadata on the device, improving file handling consistency when transferring footage.

- Fly6 Pro DSP firmware updates
CycliqPlus Desktop App
Use the desktop app for:
- Fly12 Sport DSP firmware updates
